On August 25, 2025, the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services published this report, which found that while most health centers funded by the federal Health Resources and Services Administration provide some behavioral health services to those with substance use disorder, they face challenges that limit comprehensive treatment.
